21 Asian Pacific (API) Students Awarded

TORRANCE, Calif. May 6, 2014 — The rising cost of education is a growing concern high school students as prepare for college entry in the In order to alleviate some of the Toyota awarded tuition to 21 college-bound Asian Pacific American ( APIA ) students southern California. whose focus heavily on the science, engineering and mathematics (STEM)

Toyota, in partnership with the Pacific Islander American Fund (APIASF) presented with a $2,500 scholarship a degree in a STEM field.  The were presented to students on May 5, at Toyota’s third annual dinner and reception at the Toyota Museum in Torrance. Calif.

APIASF is a non-profit organization to providing college scholarships to selected students’ heritages to eight countries in the API region, China. Vietnam. the Philippines. Thailand. Korea, India and .

Selected students have majors ranging from sciences to mechanical engineering, and been accepted to universities University of California, Berkeley and University .

By awarding me the APIASF/Toyota I am able to concentrate on what is for my education, says scholarship Julliane Bacerdo from Charter Early College School. Your generosity has me to be one step closer to my goal.

Julliane plans to study at San Diego State University and a career in the medical field.
