Hama Coniglio, The Forgotten S800 Track Car

Beautifully by famous industrial Japanese Mr. Motoki Hama with his “Hama Studio”,  the Hama or RQE Coniglio was a frequent site in rear view mirror on the Referenced to as the “Hare” or Rabbit translation, the Honda based was indeed a fast looking and planned out breed that competed in the ’69 Jap Grand-Prix.

Designed around the Honda chassis, the Coniglio (or Konirio via sources) could have yours for a price of roughly or the equivalent of $3,515 US, with the donation of a Honda S800 in amongst other options. It is available for purchase from Studio’s as Mr. Hama will build you one. We were to clarify this information, but if you out more please comment. An 10 versions were produced in the 60′s for racing to privateers expressed interest in the cars weight distribution and styling.

The more famous Coniglio version were used for racing purposes as show with Hama beside the #1 RQE Quarterly Equipment” Coniglio. was one of many FRP MK1 versions that raced in the late 60′s, amongst top Nissans, Toyotas racers. The cars competed in races including a close of 12th place during the Japan GP with the yellow #33 RQE

MK2 versions (later model including the blue Konirio on display at the Honda Collection last year via the “1950-70s Exhibit”.

Working on the already 791 cc straight-4 engine, produced 70 hp (52 kW) at rpm, the Coniglio had a larger of 845cc-1,000cc with a max 95-101 hp. alongside engineers associated the Mazda Le-Man’s series, the architecture was kept intact the engine was converted to a larger water setup. No information is about the suspension or body distribution that made car popular amongst the owners who them.
