Iraq Shortlists Candidates for Pipeline

The Street Journal and Reuters that Iraq has shortlisted 12 companies to build the new $18-billion oil pipeline to Jordan, the country’s such pipeline in decades.

oil ministry has chosen these from a list of more 80 international firms which their credentials to build a of the 1,040-mile pipeline from to Jordanian Red Sea port of Aqaba.

The companies and consortiums are:

(Russia);

China National Corporation (CNPC) ;

Marubeni (Japan);

Mitsui (Japan);

Tsusho (Japan);

Punj (India) and Mass Global (Iraq);

Saipem (Italy);

Daewoo International Corporation

Consolidated Contractors Company (Greece);

Go Gas (India), Larsen (LT) (India), and Fius (Dubai);

Petrofac (UK) and (SGC) (Russia); and,

(Egypt) and Petrojet (Egypt).

It is that the State Company for Oil (SCOP) will invite the companies to receive the tender and then submit their by November or December.

Toyota Tsusho Collaborate on Electricity

Siemens Turkey and Toyota Tsusho are to build 24 distribution centres in Iraq, in a worth $81 million.

Iraq to Spend $1.6bn on Wind Energy

Iraq plans to invest up to billion on renewable energy the next three years, to a report from Retuers.

The new solar and wind power will to add 400 megawatts to the national helping to close the gap between the MW produced and the 14,000 MW needed.
