For those of you unfamiliar the Toyota Production System, or it’s a efficient time philosophy. It tackles the three know as muri, mura, and Let us dive a little deeper these three wastes.

is a Japanese word meaning unreasonable; beyond one’s

Mura is a Japanese word lack of uniformity; irregularity;

Muda is a Japanese word futility; uselessness; waste;

Now that we have defined three core wastes, let us into TPS. As mentioned there is a subclass of muda in fact, there are seven of waste.

Waste of over production waste)

Waste of time on (waiting)

Waste of transportation

of processing itself

Waste of at hand

Waste of movement

of making defective products

look at the first muda, production. We can apply this to our easily. One example that to my mind is overstudying a topic. I admit I was guilty of this semester. I would review that I had already memorized and word for word because it was than trying to master a lecture. Not only did I over I also wasted time.

example of over production in the environment would be pre reading a I don’t mean the day before or a close timing. I mean a textbook chapter that be covered in a couple weeks, or an assignment that is due in a month you have an assignment due the next

One tip that I could give for in an attempt to minimize waste be to not do study marathons. There are articles that show studying with higher for less time is more than studying for 8 hours of low Here is a great article you read about it.

Waste of on hand, or wasting time. is probably one of the wastes that we are all of. Don’t waste time, out your assignments. But most of us realize the small time that add up. For example, my Tuesday and classes they started at 11 AM, I at 8 AM promising to do work. The library at 9 AM, so I would sit on Facebook until 9 AM. I have studied in the lounge, and an opportunity to study for an hour.

Waste of transportation. This a lot on the individual. Looking over notes on a train or bus commute reduce this waste. the shortest route to your allowing you to look over todays lecture power etc.

Waste of processing This waste is seen the waste of doing something you be doing, at least in a /r/getstudying This relates a lot to the waste of I am guilty of this. Basically I would study for a class I taking. Stupid, I know, but I was to take the class next and I wanted to get a feel for it.

Waste of stock at hand. waste is more of an economic but still relates to other Do you really need that That textbook might to be a time waste.

Waste of Hard to relate, but the best I can give is keep your organized! Don’t waste looking for a file, keep be clean. Back up your

Waste of defective products. One of the important tips I can give, do it the first time. Don’t with retakes, don’t on them. Don’t half projects, go 100%.

There are wastes, that were on, but these are the original.

I’d to add waste of underutilized human This is important for group and group studying. For example, if working in a group for a computer project, and one of your members 10 years as a graphic designer for clients like Google, and Samsung, don’t stick him at

I’ll definitely add more, I looked at lean stuff I did a internship in high school made me choose against but I’m glad I got something out of it. look for my lean binder
