Next Chapter

My recent in New Zealand is fast becoming a bit of a memory… I’ve been exactly a week, and have thrust into a rather time at the Need for Speed there are many new and exciting kicking around which my full attention….

I’m currently this blogpost from the set of a Girl shoot for the new Need for Shift game…. this is all I can of what we are doing for now though

Right, back to my New Zealand I wanted to show you lot, my car from the 4Rotary Nationals just happens to also be a This fantastic JZX-90 II.

Now being that I grew up in the I don’t have a long emotional connection to the JZX series of I’ve only become of them more recently….

I this must have the first drift spec JZX I lay my eyes on. It was at the Summer Drift at Ebisu Circui t last I immediately fell in love the style of these large sedans…. Perhaps it’s the of such a large car set up for sliding appeals to me? Not sure… I just 4 door drift car style….

So you can imagine my delight when I saw deep black JZX-90 light at the 4Rotary Nationals a few back…. I’m not sure how many of the NZ at the show were appreciating how cool this car is… but for me this was one the stylish and interesting machines of the

Turns out the owner  of the car is an Editor at NZ Car Magazine… Peter Kelly… or as most people call You can check his blog here … out he was planning to sell the car…. a which I protested to… why would you to sell such a cool and machine? Pedey don’t do it!

In its previous life, the Mark II was as a full D1 Spec competition you can see evidence of this with the point roll cage in photo…. I like how Pedey is a Racepak Digital Dash you don’t see these very street cars! Seats are by with a full 5 point setup keeping any of the occupants in…

The Mark II didn’t have a life as a pro drift car and suffered a big in its third event… the car was backed a wall at speed and suffered damage…

…Most people have written the car off, but nursed it back to life and the mashed up rear end… is by Vertex BTW…

I decided to reward him for his efforts and him a Speedhunters sticker hahaha….

this isn’t perhaps the engine bay in the in the world… but it has quite an setup. The engine is a 1UZ-FE 4 Liter Alloy V8 fed by a Turbonetics Turbocharger with a Tial external wastegate controlling any hot gasses. The big intercooler is by DSR… results in 400HP at the wheels on 8

This is certainly more enough power for Pedey’s day and drift practice escapades…. shot is from a track but obviously he couldn’t stop from kicking the back of the car

Living in New Zealand, Pedey has the opportunity to flog the car on many of New amazing country roads… of all within the speed limit m8?

I think I’d have to say that car is a great expression of the subculture of drift car style: 4 door It’s a something I’d love to see of in the North American scene… I a few people who think that cars should be big, loud and wide… and this certainly fits the bill it?

Tx for Pedey for supplying the additional

What do you think of four street drift car style?
