Why the Land Cruiser is the worst SUV in America

It is time for Toyota to the legacy of the Land Cruiser in America – Now!

The 200 Series Land has been a complete sales in the US and in most of the world. Why we care? Well, the Land is one of (if not THE) greatest legacies in all of It’s models have 60 years and nearly 5,000,000 units, being distributed in 146 I am personally vested in the Land having owned an FJ40, and currently own an FZJ80 (link). I crossed continents in Land and have raced and won the Outback in a 70 Series. The Land Cruiser is an model for vehicle-based exploration, on the top of the hill for decades. On ExPo, we recommended the 100 series as the best overland vehicle choice in America (link). A Land represents freedom to the buyer, with a legacy of world-class Land Cruisers are classic and and have always placed an on durability and capability over and domestic ‘functionality’. The current 200 has that spirit, a spirit has always been present in bloodline. The 200 is rounded and soft, and low, its interior filled plastic and leather, it’s a huge appliance that has its soul.

This is the Expedition Portal Land Cruiser. This has 230,000 miles and just from a year long through Central America. We a Land Cruiser like again, but factory new. 

my criticism the 200 is actually a well and thoroughly modern vehicle, but why someone buy it? Isn’t that the of making a car, to build that customers love and are to drop serious cash on? At it lacks the critical delivery of exceptional design and luxury or performance. $70,000 is a lot of money and customers are very discerning – want to be inspired by the vehicle drive. The design of the 200 is lifeless and something that sells into this intended (this is not a commuter car). The is adequate, but uninspiring with the V8 being the only attribute of On the trail the mammoth proportions and clearance will make more than an unimproved a potentially costly exercise. After established their reputation of and reliability, the other models Toyota needs to inspire the US of what is possible with vehicles, just like uses the Viper SRT-10 to a more economical Avenger.

If you think the 70 series sell, look at the new Jeep Being in the media, manufacturers to tell me that consumers buy solid axle, body on vehicles with lockers and big – that was bull – a line of bunk. People do buy serious In fact, Jeep cannot enough of the 4-door Wranglers, massive frames and solid are rolling off the line to a rate of units per year. Many car demand style and performance, and also willing to pay for it. Toyota import and certify the 70 series with the 4Runner V6 engine if – but I’d much prefer the turbo-diesel V8 can buy an Audi Q7 with a brilliant I’d be willing to put down serious that Toyota would 15,000-20,000 units within the year. When I bought my a new SUV we looked at the 200 series and she said it like a shoe. We ended up a Range Rover instead. If a Cruiser 76 GLX was available I would paid every dollar for it, happily.
