2014 Toyota LandCruiser pricing and specifications

The 2014 LandCruiser Prado has arrived in with revised styling, new and restructured pricing.

Revealed in with a new grille, headlights, bumper and tail-lights, the facelifted LandCruiser Prado range has reduced from 13 variants to 11 the discontinuation of the slow-selling three-door style.

Now available exclusively as a the Prado is offered in five- and configurations in GX specification – where seating commands a $2500 – while GXL, VX and Kakadu all remain seven-seaters.

Priced at an unchanged $55,990, the Prado GX (pictured above) the carry-over 127kW/410Nm 3.0-litre turbo-diesel with a six-speed transmission, and continues to deliver cycle fuel consumption of 8.8 per 100km. Adding $2700, the five-speed automatic is slightly frugal at 8.5L/100km.

Diesel-powered VX and grades are paired exclusively the auto gearbox.

Offered in GXL, VX and Kakadu, the 202kW/381Nm V6 petrol engine also over unchanged, and consumes partnered to the five-speed automatic.

A premium steering shift lever knob and lever further boost the list along with a blind cargo cover and two cup holders.

Priced at $77,990 for the petrol and for the diesel – both up $1355 – VX (pictured above) gains electronically modulated kinetic suspension system (KDSS), LED headlights, front parking and 18-inch 12-spoke alloy Rain-sensing wipers, satellite and a 17-speaker premium JBL audio with digital DAB+ are also included, as are leather-accented (heated front and second-row power-folding third-row seats, an interior mirror and chrome door handles.

Starting at (up $1455), the range-topping Kakadu below) is further equipped adaptive variable suspension, and auto-levelling rear air suspension and an five-mode selectable multi-terrain control system.

Helping off-road capability are five-setting CRAWL cruise system, an electronic rear lock, a millimetre-wavelength radar and a four-camera multi-terrain monitor, adaptive cruise control and spot monitoring aid safety.

Interior trims vary the GX and GXL’s silver and piano to woodgrain-look and chrome in VX and Kakadus, all have a redesigned dashboard and driver’s instrument cluster new dials.

Two new exterior colours have been added for the 2014 year – Dynamic Blue and Bronze – with metallic and paints again coming at a of $475.
