Trading 11 Sienna LE for 12 Odyssey EX

A over a year ago I published why we the 11 Sienna LE over the 11 Odyssey Sienna vs Odyssey comparison

miles later we find trading our 2011 Sienna LE for a Odyssey EX. Why take the huge depreciation on a perfectly new Sienna? still wondering myself, but goes:

1. Sienna’s grade especially downhill in the mountains, doesn’t compare to Honda’s. Honda with cruise holds the speed very Toyota lets the speed nearly 10mph over the set before dropping a gear, and by you very well could a ticket, especially when set speed is already above the limit.

2. While the overall Sienna and driving feel is good, is still better.

3. Sienna’s mounts behind the 3rd row take up space. The Odyssey’s well the 3rd row is totally clean. While on the subject, Sienna’s new folding is good, but Honda’s is better

4. Love the long-slide middle row in the (and will miss the most), but don’t like the marks on the plastic floor I can’t imagine how bad this look on a van used by children it looks so bad after just 1 with no more use than the seats back and forth.

5. Honda now has Bluetooth and audio on the EX like Sienna had on the LE last I can change tracks up and down on my using the steering wheel without ever hooking up any Plus, Honda’s system all 3,000 contacts in my phone while Sienna does Hard drive storage is a bonus. On the downside, Honda does not allow voice of raw numbers, but does allow of pre-stored voice tags. We used this on our Sienna, but hope Honda adds feature on future models.

6. Driver’s dead pedal on the Ody has fixed so I fit again. Legroom in the Odyssey and 11 Sienna was fine, but I fit in the 11 Ody. I’m happy to say the left legroom in the 12 Ody feels my old 05, which is good.

7. Still see anything out the right rear in the Ody with the 2nd row in a normal position of the design of the rear quarter Sienna is still superior so that’s a compromise we have to live with.

8. Ody fuel promises to be better. On a 30 mile loop purposely designed to get the economy possible at 68mph, my broken in Sienna achieved while a brand new Ody EX achieved Clearly the gas savings will make up for the depreciation hit I am taking, but still bragging rights. my experience with 4 Hondas and 3 has been Toyota mileage takes a hit above 70, whereas mileage on the highway holds at least 80 and sometimes 85 (06 Civic).

Our van is due off the truck this week in time for a Christmas road Our Sienna typically returned on highway trips at 80; we’re much better from the

We still think Sienna is the looking van on the market, but now that is finally offering Bluetooth streaming audio on US models a cloth interior, we’re for the better driving feel and gas BTW, we were scheduled to the sliding door pop fixed on our but that won’t be happening I found a lot of disgruntled owners of Siennas with sliding problems that Toyota is not care of Sienna Power Door PROBLEMS. and that was a factor to trade our Sienna any problems develop.

We still have our 07 Tundra and 09 so we are not totally abandoning Toyota.
