I am excited to be posting about my acquisition, a 1967 MS47 wagon.

There had been discussion on the forums and at club about this nice old wagon at Centre Rd Wreckers needed saving. I didn’t much of it, assuming it was a rusty or in dire straits, if it had made it to the

Then on a sunny Thursday with a does of the CBF’s at I decided to go for a wander around the yard to see what was new. It was I came upon this It was straight, almost completely free, and just too good to be in the wreckers slowly getting apart. I had to have it, especially as I been dreaming of Crown ownership for many years

So within 24 hours I had convinced the half that it should home with me, then back to the wreckers, did the deal and towed it home.

Here she is on the trailer:

In the glove box had found this note

So I called Don. Old bloke and was to have a chat. I didn’t work out how the car got to the wreckers, but given the sticker on the window, I guess he it at auction, and the wrecker bought it.

He had it for the last 25 years and it had sat in his shed all time#33; It was going to be a project he but he just never got around to anything.

That makes this the last time it was registered I

He told a tale of getting it off he knew, who had got it from someone when it was left in a workshop. The was a bit muddled, but he invited me to go visit to some bits he still had for it, so I try and get the story straight then.

He also told me he had rebuilt the bottom end, using a block, and that he put in a different transmission as well, which led to him the gear indicator on the steering Clearly its a bit ass about#33;

Anyways, I spent the morning getting to my Crown a little better.

That shit you can see in the last photo is all the foam disintegrating and falling on the

This is how she looks after a which isn’t really a lot but its a bit better. A cut and polish is going to wonders though#33;

I was so stoked to find these in the foam pile under the seat last night

meant that I could the electric back window morning, which to my joy goes up and with a turn of the key, like its meant to#33; If you the writing, its the RACV membership 1979, indicating the owner had a member since 1966, and the rego was KGE751.
