My JZX100 1JZ Turbo Toyota

Well having the wonders of JDM spec cars things such as air conditioning and all as well as better engines their Irish equivalents I was my next purchase. This be my 4th ever car having owned a 1.4i, a JDM 1.5 Civic Hatchback and a FTO. All my previous cars rev happy FWD NA cars and I wanted to sure my next purchase was to be a new experience, so off I went looking for a 4 R34 Nissan skyline and ended my with a Toyota Chaser.

I ended up buying the Chaser a Japanese auction house and it myself. It ticked all the boxes, it was spacious inside, RWD and Turbo. It was the generation of Chaser produced by and was only available in Japan.

The under the hood is the 2.5 litre 1JZ utilizing VVTi(a version of timing) in addition to a single it outputs 280hp with figures of 379 newton metres lbf·ft) at 2400 rpm. The is an inline 6 layout and has a kind of to it, it is certainly the smoothest engine I ever experienced.

On the motorway she just fly’s other traffic effortlessly, though the car weighs 1480kg, it not feel heavy at all, the input is very precise and as my seemed to have been before leaving Japan is no noticeable body roll.

I got the V and it is a 1997, the interior is certainly of era but has a few surprises. The central console and panels have real fiber trim, and the cloth is very comfortable and soft in to my older cars. The seats a stripey pattern which is marmite, some like it, hate it and change out the seats as as possible. The steering wheel is large and not as nice to use as my FTO’s steering wheel but certainly the job. The steering wheel is

full adjustable as is the drivers Front and side driver/passenger come as standard. Most of cars were Automatic, but I only praise here as it to kickdown when you want it to and not misbehave like the Porsche did in the FTO. The chaser comes LSD and Traction control as standard.

Boot space is not the best as the tank is behind the rear so this limits the amount of space and also means you can not put the rear seats. There are and compartments hidden all over the car is nice for storing bits and

Out in public I dont get too much not many people know I am driving and this suits me Almost sleeper spec and reason I didnt go for the more know skyline. I am happy the car and dont see my self changing soon.
