What is a Toyota Cavalier?

In a Toyota Cavalier is a merely hand drive Chevrolet

On November 19, 1993, General and Toyota signed an agreement to the Chevrolet Cavalier in Japan, as a Toyota Cavalier. The models appeared on January 20, 1996 at dealerships throughout Japan.

Cavaliers were built at the Assembly Plant, in Lordstown, on the same assembly line as the Cavalier and Pontiac Sunfire. The obvious difference, of course, that they were hand drive.

There four models produced:

Toyota Cavaliers not available with manual or cruise control. Fuel were flat, with handles inside the trunk and the driver’s seat. The radio was embedded into the windshield.

** Folding mirrors were added by Toyota’s Technocraft in mid-1996. Power folding became standard in the 1997 year. 1996 models may be with regular Chevrolet mirrors, as well as non-powered mirrors on sedans.
