Why I Didn’t Buy a Prius v

Actually, my post mentioned that if I to purchase the Toyota Prius v, it actually be a cost savings for me. how it was going to work.

1. Dump but gas-guzzling crossover type

2. Buy new Prius v

3. Have lower car payments

4. Save tons of in gas

5. Live happily ever

Sounds good, right? I’d do a and then buy the Prius v I wanted 5, Blizzard Pearl with a Softex interior). My husband put a deposit down on it.

I had a chance to drive the regular when I went to TWIN and liked it. I knew the drive was a bit but thought I could get used to it. a pretty popular car after

But my husband, wise man that he is, I test drive it just to be

So I did.

And Evan complained the time in the back seat might have set the mood for the drive. He liked my Ford with the mini refrigerator and DVD This car clearly seemed down to him. And you know It seemed stripped down to me

More importantly, the low horsepower the get up and go feel like it got up and went. It was for stop and go driving but when we the highway, Mr. Salesman decided he needed to put it in Power mode to it the extra boost. I understand the for the mode but it wasn’t something I to have to rely on.

Aside from the test this particular dealership give me the warm fuzzies for a lot of reasons. So I said no thank you . got the refunded, and decided maybe I just keep my gas guzzler all.

Then, Sean, my told me to maybe try out the Toyota Hybrid.

But I don’t want a sedan. have no cargo space! I But it did look nice. So I did a little

I found one in Cypress Pearl, a shade of metallic green, an interior of Ivory Leather with microsuede.

You know this is going, right?

I in love with that I felt like I went driving a big schoolbus to a shiny red It makes driving fun again. It has a suspension with sport It had every luxury that I really want to give up power seats, leather) but really get in a Prius. And it had ridiculously gas mileage.

So I bought into it hook, and sinker. And I bought that after  I walked out of yet another and found it at a different dealership* the price I wanted.

It’s almost a week since I that car. I’ve put 400 miles on that car and still need gas. I took car to Philadelphia and back and I still need gas. I’m averaging 38 to 40 mpg and I get every time I go out to my car.

So what I’ve learned. You have to sacrifice comfort and or even eco-friendly to drive a (although that’s just to be anyway). You simply have to be driven and find the car that for you.

I guess I don’t really all that cargo space.

* I to give a special shout out to and the team at Antwerpen Toyota who wanted  our business and was to do what he could to earn it. No just a simple and easy
