Toyota Crown Majesta

First generation series S140 1,670 kg (3,681.7 lb) The first Toyota Crown Majesta was introduced in Japan as a 4-door hardtop October 1991. It looked very similar to its smaller sibling, the Toyota Crown and to the larger Toyota Celsior which was a sedan that appeared in 1989. At first the Toyota Crown Majesta was a trim level variant of the Toyota Crown series, called the Crown Royal Saloon G. The Majesta was an ultra-luxurious variant of the Toyota Crown and was slightly wider and heavier, but had 2 large engine choices. the 3.0 L 2JZ-GE engine borrowed from the Toyota Aristo, Toyota Supra and Toyota Soarer which produced 226 bhp (169 kW; 229 PS). Longevity: Honda vs. Toyota (vehicles, hybrid, credit, brake) — Automotive…

They are all the best, most reliable cars, but for longevity, I would give the Toyota the crown, because Honda parts are more expensive, and the labor for servicing them is usually more expensive, so one might not be willing to fork over the money when they got old, and finally needed some work. Bingo. I’ve owned both and can fully support what you say. While Honda is generally very good, they tend to be slightly more expensive to repair. They are a little more finicky with their electronics. I’m on my second Camry (had a 92 before this one). A 1999. It has 186,000 on it and it is still a daily driver and it is run routinely at 70-80mph on highways, no problems. It is closing in ...

2013 Lexus LS flagship luxury sedan arrives — we speak to Chief Engineer…

2013 Lexus LS flagship luxury sedan arrives – we speak to Chief Engineer Hideki Watanabe When it comes to luxury cars, there’s a very good chance that the first thing to come to mind would not be a Japanese-built car. Luxury and car is usually linked with the usual suspects like Rolls Royce, Bentley, Aston Martin and the lot. But cook up a long list of luxury cars and there’s bound to be one Japanese marque in there, that would be none other than Lexus. Known for its impeccable attention to detail, fine Japanese craftsmanship by skilled ‘Takumi’, and a fierce focus on comfort, Lexus has been leading the charge for Japanese luxury cars since the brand was first introduced by Toyota ...

The Sweet Science: IS350 F-Sport v. BMW 335i v ATS V6 v Q50 — R&T Comparison…

Four three-box sport sedans in a two-day bout for number one. By The RT Staff September 10, 2013 / Photos by Marc Urbano Versatility is everything in life. We love sports cars and highway missiles and just about anything else on wheels, but if you need a single car to do it all, a sport sedan is the only reasonable answer. The recipe is simple: four doors, a stout engine, quick reflexes, a lot of heart. BMW’s 3-series has ruled this roost for years, but a host of fresher, cheaper challengers are chipping away at the German car’s lead. We gathered the strongest three in the hills of rural Ohio and had them slug it out with the Bavarian bruiser. The results were surprising#151;and ...

2013ToyotaAvalon Review By Joe Bruzek

Expert Reviews By Joe Bruzek The 2013 Toyota Avalon is trimmer and more tech savvy, and it houses one of the most luxurious interiors on the market for less than $35,000. And get this: The 2013 costs $2,210 less than the outgoing model. Cars that have traditionally appealed to older drivers are nearing extinction. Ford discontinued the Crown Victoria, there aren’t any more bench seats, and easy-access flat seats are being replaced with more curvaceous sport seats intended to appeal to youthful buyers. Now, even the redesigned Toyota Avalon has diminished its geezer factor. An Avalon Hybrid joins the lineup for 2013, with EPA-estimated gas mileage of 40/39/40 mpg city/highway/combined. ...
