2005 Lexus IS300- My biased) review

So, this is my Technically my dad owns it, but I DD it and am slowly it off. Time for a review I

Exterior 8/10

I think is a very good looking but in a more subtle way than cars. It just looks a sports sedan should. The foglights compliment the white HID very well. The Altezza lights look good on car, unlike ricers who it. Besides that, I have to say other than the lines are

Interior 9/10

For the early the quality of the interior of the IS300 is No terrible plastics where actually bother touching, and the plastics that it does feel like they are of quality stuff, not water plastic. The gauge cluster is for being like a Chronograph and freaking awesome. My car has the full package, and the leather is amazing. The seats have decent but I do find myself sliding a bit taking hard corners. In the where people haven’t sat much, the leather feels new, extremely soft and One of the gripes I have with the is the stuff they used to the dash. It melts over the so I have a slightly sticky (especially on the passenger airbag) picks up fingerprints and dust nothing else. Luckily, if you it down with a damp rag it all away. The other gripe I

is the lack of rear legroom. they made up for this by the rear seats and armrest the squishy, comfortable things

Acceleration 7/10

The IS300, of course, was never a fast car and will be. 215hp and 218 ft lbs of torque makes the car peppy and fun, but you’d call eye-peeling 0-60 times for the automatic reside around the 7.3 second while the manual seems to put up times.

Nothing wrong Brakes stop the car and do so pretty The pedal has a nice feel, a tiny bit too much travel,

The IS300’s ride slots between soft and hard. Its Just enough harshness to you that you actually just hit a but not enough to break your when you do. Very comfortable car for driving.

Handling 8/10

Let me just say this car handles very The steering is just heavy and definitely not too heavy. Its just perfect, really. You can feel little bump in the road through the wheel, but it doesn’t get annoying. You can throw the car around and a ton of fun without ever getting to its limits, which is awesome.

never driven a manual so I can’t tell you first if they are any good or not, but what I’ve heard are a little vague and notchy. All can be fixed with a few mods, Now, the auto, which I is just alright. In full mode, the car shifts a little smooth than it should the transmission is cold, but once it up it’s smooth as butter. The mode works well for but it’s not a true manual mode. Basically, its telling the Oh, you have 2 gears to work *shift up* now you have 3 *shift up* 4 up* and now 5. If you are in, say, 4th gear, and accelerate too it will shift down your consent. Also, it let you select 1st gear, probably 1st is so small.

The stock radio is actually good. Nice bass, not crisp treble, and smooth The engine growls when you rev it, and it can put a on anyone’s face, if you are in the car. of the car, it’s disappointing. The exhaust is Lexus’d so that it is silent. It doesn’t sound any than a corolla from the Slap an aftermarket exhaust on though and you have one amazing car.

For a Lexus, the IS300 really have much when it to toys. Mine has navigation, seats, and a full power That’s about it. Even for that wasn’t much it came to luxury cars. The is also a little annoying to with its tiny little button.

For 30 grand you got a very sports sedan with a 2JZ and heaps of fun. For just a few more you got leather, navigation, and seats. That’s a decent even in 2005.

Power: 215 HP @ 5800 RPM, 218 @3800 RPM

Transmission: 5 speed
