2012 Toyota Yaris SE 5-Door review notes — Autoweek

2012 Toyota Yaris SE 5-Door review notes The 2012 Toyota Yaris SE is a functional econobox providing adequate transportation from point A to point B. Photo by Toyota. For a compact car, the Yaris SE has decent — if not thrilling — exterior styling. Photo by Toyota. Shopping for a NEW or used vehicle? Click here to start your search. ASSOCIATE EDITOR DAVID ARNOUTS: The 2012 Toyota Yaris SE 5-Door didn’t disappoint this weekend as it was full of in-town commuting and errands. It saw a mix of street and highway use. On city streets, it rode how I’d imagine: like an econobox with a primary purpose of A to B. It took the bumps fairly well, and could get you from stoplight ...

2008 Toyota Yaris Liftback — Test drive and new car review — 2008 Toyota…

Cute, small, does it all Toyota introduced the subcompact Yaris in 2007, a replacement for the unloved Echo. Traditionally, Americans are more likely to go for the Yaris sedan — but for urbanites and hard-core minimalists, the 3-door Yaris Liftback is the way to go. At just twelve and a half feet long, it’s over a foot and a half shorter than the sedan and has a turning circle that’s nearly 2′ tighter. We know it’s small — but is it a good car? Read on. $12,210 base, $16,345 as tested, EPA fuel economy estimates 29 MPG city, 35-36 MPG highway. First Glance: The joys of small I love small cars for two reasons: One, they are inherently fun, and two, I am ...

The Yaris is available in a sedan and a 3-door or 5-door hatchback. Overall, the Yaris is a sensible choice for those on a budget. The Yaris comes standard with a 1.5-liter DOHC 16-Valve Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (VVT-i) 4-cylinder engine with 106 horsepower and 103 pound-feet of torque. Full review of the 2012 Toyota Yaris 3-Door Hatch | txGarage

Full review of the 2012 Toyota Yaris 3-Door Hatch The 2012 Toyota Yaris 3-Door Hatch by txGarage At txGarage, we try to focus our attention more toward enthusiasts and enthusiast cars. There’s always something to be said about a small hatch with a short wheelbase and a peppy engine, and as Jay Leno always says, “It’s more fun to drive a slow car fast.” We don’t see as many of the “hot hatches” in American dealerships when compared to the rest of the world, and even less in Texas, but that’s starting to change. We’ve reviewed some of the new hot hatches to hit our shores, including the Ford Fiesta. Chevrolet Sonic. Fiat 500. and many more. The Yaris is one small hatch that’s ...

Toyota Yaris road tests and car reviews

James Walker, Lancashire The Yaris is a good and reliable car, but having driven manual vehicles (of various makes) over the past half century, I find my latest acquisition which is a 2010 automatic, a bit of an annoyance. Everything except the semi-automatic gearbox and the dashboard instrumentation work well. However, the gearbox is a swine. Smooth gearchanges when left to its own devices, are a mess. When changing up in the lower three gears, it loses power quite badly and then finally jerks into gear. This must be a safety issue. The user has to learn to have a feel for the engine revs and then use the gas pedal and steering wheel paddles in harmony with each other to make a relatively ...

Weeklong Road Test: The 2010 Toyota Yaris 5-Door Hatchback — National…

2010 Toyota Yaris There used to be only a few five door hatchbacks in the subcompact economy car segment and most of them were so bad that they made buying a bus pass seem like a worthy alternative (cough* Chevy Aveo5 *cough) . As a result, buyers flocked to trusted stalwarts like the 2010 Toyota Yaris, Honda Fit and Nissan Versa. But the 2011 model year is going to usher in a whole lot more competition in a segment that already counts razor thin profit margins as an ever growing concern. Thanks to the launch of the all new 2011 Ford Fiesta and Mazda2, you just have to wonder how a model like the Toyota Yaris will fare in the sales race. The 2011 Fiesta and Mazda2 are both incredibly stylish, ...

Toyota Yaris 2014 Sedan, Hello Again! | Car reviews Test Drives UAE Dubai…

Toyota Yaris 2014 Sedan, Hello Again! All new Toyota Yaris sedan 2014 was launched at Meydan with impressive digital wizardry that created an illusion of 3-D projections on plain, white blocks erected on varied planes. All new Toyota Yaris is back in the sub-compact sedan segment. Models and Price:  Yaris Sedan 1.3 L . S at AED 48,500 and SE from AED 51,900 Yaris Sedan 1.5L . AbgTutor dot Com: New Toyota Yaris (Vios hatchback) debuts in Thailand

New Toyota Yaris (Vios hatchback) debuts in Thailand The new Toyota Yaris hatchback has just been launched in Thailand, and surprise, surprise, it’s the Chinese-market five-door compact hatch of the same name, not the third-generation Yaris that’s sold in the rest of the world. It’s basically a hatchback version of the 2013 Toyota Vios that we’ve covered from top to bottom. and more . It sits on the same 2,550 mm wheelbase of the new (and old) Vios sedan, though the hatchback is marginally shorter both in length and height. Specs aside, you wouldn’t be able to tell that the two are related, as the Thai Yaris gets its own set of clothes. The rear especially, features C-shaped rear ...
