Bought one of these recently and have just finished it and given it it’s first run this afternoon. Please note that it’s not completely stock as I’ve changed the motor and ESC and fitted proper shocks not to mention the Wild Willy 2 wheels and tyres. Ran it for a half hour non stop mainly in the heavy grass in the back yard and couldn’t be more pleased with it. Impressed with the chassis, very stable and handles ...

Below Average Cars: Toyota Land Cruiser HJ45 Pickup

Below Average Cars: Toyota Land Cruiser HJ45 Pickup Welcome to Below Average Cars, an occasional series about kickass cars you can buy for less than the average price of a new car. * For this special Tacoma Tuesday edition of Below Average Cars, We have an absolute beauty, a 1979 Toyota Land Cruiser HJ45 long-bed pickup. No one on Oppo needs reminding of the legendary reputation of the Land Cruiser. They go anywhere, they do anything, and they don’t break down. This one will certainly go anywhere, but it won’t go anywhere fast. That is because instead of being one of the FJ series Land Cruisers we are used to in the states, this one is an HJ, which means there is a pulsing, throbbing ...

2014 Toyota Land Cruiser Expert Review — MSN Autos

Review: 2008 Toyota Land Cruiser The Land Cruiser accounts for less than 1 percent of Toyota Motor Corp.’s annual U.S. sales. So why would Toyota—which sells the 4Runner, RAV4, Highlander, Sequoia and FJ Cruiser sport-utility vehicles—keep selling the big SUV in the U.S.? Toyota’s flagship SUV isn’t about big sales numbers. The Land Cruiser is a company icon, with roots to Toyota’s first post-World War II vehicle. Well-loved around the world, it shuttles Saudi Arabian sheiks across desert sands and carries Australian ranchers deep into the Outback. In the U.S. its reputation approaches cult status, with 42 percent of all sales going to returning Land Cruiser owners. ...

Toyota Global Site | Land Cruiser — Middle East

The Fresh Fish Express of the Desert Located about 300km to the southeast of the capital city Masqat of the Sultanate of Oman, there are a series of fishing villages lining the coast facing the Arabian Sea. The beaches along this coast are long and shallow, and there are no ports where ships can dock. The local fisherman either have to set out in small fishing craft, or dock off of a larger mother ship offshore, and bring their daily catch ashore in small craft. The fishermen approach the shore in these small craft, their nets loaded with fish, and then are towed up on the beach by the waiting Land Cruisers on the shore. The fishermen spread out sheets along the sand upon which they open their ...

2008ToyotaLand Cruiser Review By Kelsey Mays

Expert Reviews By Kelsey Mays What makes a Toyota worth $65,000? Like a Microsoft Outlook reminder that wouldn’t go away, that question sprang to mind every time I climbed into the Land Cruiser, a leather-lined gulley romper from a company better known for mild-mannered Camrys, Corollas and RAV4s. The Land Cruiser costs more than all three combined #x2014; and given its wide-ranging faults, I can’t fathom why. Redesigned for 2008, the Land Cruiser tops off a lineup that includes five other SUVs. Click here for a comparison to the 2007 model. The related Lexus LX 570 was also redesigned for 2008; it starts around $75,000 but includes many features that are optional or unavailable ...

Toyota pickup 22r-e wont start?

Toyota pickup 22r-e wont start? Best Answer DON#039;T go checking/pulling relays/fuses just yet. you may need the stored ecu codes later. doing that will clear them. you could have done the pump testing by simply jumping 2 terminals (B+ and FP) in the black DLC1 connector box just off the bat. that#039;s what it#039;s there for. that sends power directly to the pump isolates it from all dependent circuits and bypasses all fuses and relays. respectfully, you really need a manual to save yourself some time. b4 you do any of what i suggest, you need to pull the codes. write them down. all of #039;em. in the process of my DYI, you may permanently clear them. removing the EFI fuse, EFI relay, ...

Curbside Classic: 1975 Toyota Hilux Pickup | The Truth About Cars

Curbside Classic: 1975 Toyota Hilux Pickup After a deep immersion in cheap, plastic (un)fantastic Toyota electronic gas pedal assemblies, we need to swing the friction arm pendulum way far the other direction; right into a cast iron Hilux pickup. The only electronics in these would be a handful of transistors in the radio, if it even had one. If there had to be a vehicle to keep running indefinitely, I couldn’t think of a better choice. And I’m obviously not the only one: there are dozens of these on the roads hereabouts, being used daily by thrifty gardeners, carpenters, handy-men, and just homeowners wanting a weekend dump-run truck. There’s no question in my mind; if I wasn’t so ...

What Is a Toyota Hilux Pickup? | eHow

Introduction Most Americans have either never heard of the legendary Hilux, or think that the truck line went away in 1976. Introduced in 1958, the little Hilux pickup was Toyota’s entry into America’s burgeoning compact-truck pickup market, competing primarily with the Mazda B-Series (later rebadged as the Ford Courier). The Hilux slotted between the smaller Briska and the full-sized Stout. The Hilux fit into a sort of Goldilocks zone for import trucks, large enough to be usable but small enough not to directly compete with established offerings like the Ford F-Series or Chevrolet C/K. Popularity It has been said of the A-10 Warthog that it was the only airplane ever produced ...
