Reaching for the Crown // Dong’s VIP Crown Majesta. | StanceNation™…

Reaching for the Crown // Dong’s VIP Crown Majesta. For a lot of us who are into the VIP culture, we’re always striving for the best, whether it’s parts or even a car.  With VIP coming to the forefront the last couple of years, there are certainly a lot of VIP-styled cars floating around.  Why did I add “style?”  Well, a lot of them are just that, VIP-styled.  Like any genre, there are core platforms that the style of tuning was developed on.  VIP is all about customizing big, luxurious sedans like Toyota/Lexus, Infiniti, and Mercedes.  Cars like Accords and Camrys aren’t exactly a true VIP platform even though there are some great examples around that prove they take well ...

14th Generation Toyota Crown (S210) 2013 Toyota Crown Athlete Other than this ghastly looking nose that looks like it was designed by aliens or people who accidentally took a bath with some water that comes from Mars (waters of Mars, that is), waiting for them to bite its prey every time when he/she said bite me alien boy! , what I can see in the back were the rear lamps that look like it came from the current Toyota Camry, the front lamps made for night time driving, a roof for when it rains, and sports tires for something else. Now if you remember back in the year 2008, I’ve checked out the previous generation Crown spawned into three different types; the Athlete that provides the ...

domain-b.com : Toyota redesigns ‘Crown’; uses ‘Value’ Innovation to cut costs

Tokyo: Toyota Motor Corporation has announced a completely redesigned version of the Crown Royal Saloon and Crown Athlete series. The company has also added a hybrid model to the product line-up. The remodelled Crown is the first car to build on Toyota’s new cost-cutting strategy, called V I, or Value Innovation. Toyota is hopeful that value innovation will manifest savings of at least $2.8 billion a year. The Royal Saloon and Athlete series have gone on sale in Japan on 18 February, and the Crown Hybrid will be launched in Japan on 6 May. The 13th-generation Crown unveiled today retains the sense of poise and reliability that characterises the Crown series, which has earned a reputation ...

Welcome TMG Lexus LS Sports 650 destined for production after 2015? Via autoblog: There’s little question that Lexus has succeeded in challenging its German rivals in the luxury marketplace. And with the LFA, it has proven that Japan can build a world-class supercar. What’s left blank is the space in between. Toyota Motorsport GmbH came up with a compelling answer in the form of the Sports 650 prototype, a Lexus LS with a 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 producing 641 horsepower and other go-fast components to challenge the likes of the Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG and Audi S8. Toyota boss Akio Toyoda was reportedly so impressed with the project that he initially ordered TMG to build ten examples ...

Toyota Crown MS63 Custom Wagon Info

Thread: Toyota Crown MS63 Custom Wagon Info Toyota Crown MS63 Custom Wagon Info Since they are a rare old beast in Australia I figured I should probably list a little info about the MS63 Crown Custom Wagon. 1971 — 1973 series 1 The MS63 Crown Custom Wagon was released in 1971 through to 1974. It was the Flagship model for Toyota, top of the range. Also refered to as the Crown Estate wagon it shared top spot with the MS65 Crown Deluxe and Super Saloon (None of these models were released for sale in Australia By Toyota. All we got was the MS65 AMI build sedan ) The Custom wagon is a 7 seater wagon with in floor rearward facing dicky seat in the luggage compartment. It received a facelift ...

by Dr. Iain Corness Monaco GP this weekend The annual parade of film stars, rock legends and the rich and powerful is on this weekend in the tiny principality of Monaco. The harbour will be wall to wall expensive yachts and the villa car parks will have all the Lambo’s, Ferrari’s and Maserati’s you would ever wish for. Somewhere in the middle of all this excess wealth (me, jealous?) is a supposed motor race. I say ‘supposed’, because the circuit is now totally unsuitable for today’s F1 cars. Passing is impossible, and other than waiting for the guy in front to stick it in the wall, you can forget about passing, especially if your name is David Coulthard or Ralf Schumacher. Even ...

VWVortex.com — One off combination or Toyota’s Crowning Glory

Thread: One off combination or Toyota’s Crowning Glory One off combination or Toyota’s Crowning Glory 1987 was a pretty big year for Toyota in Japan in terms of new model introductions. After the introduction of the V20 Camry/Vista, known to you as the second-gen FWD Camry, Toyota unleashed a raft of new models: the E90 Corolla/Sprinter, a new Corona, and the S130 Crown. The Carina followed along with a new Mark II/Chaser/Cresta (Cressida) the next year to round off that generation of Toyotas, each generation sharing a particular design language (which to my eyes was not bad at all for Toyota). The next round of introductions were the 1990-92 years, although the Celsior (Lexus ...

BMW 325i — Short Take Road Test — Car Reviews — Car and Driver

BMW 325i Think of it as 330i lite. Here’s a question we’d like ESPN to ask some NASCAR driver on one of its illuminating jock-sniffing quiz shows: Name a car under 35 grand that employs weight-saving magnesium in its engine block, increases efficiency by varying valve lift instead of merely using a throttle plate, and comes standard with pricey run-flat tires. Time’s up. The answer? BMW’s least expensive U.S. car, the $30,995 325i. That’s just the start of a long list of standard equipment on the ’06 325i. Also included are a six-speed manual transmission (previously five-speed only), an impressive 10-speaker stereo including two subwoofers, dual automatic ...

Toyota Crown Majesta undergoes complete redesign

Toyota Crown Majesta undergoes complete redesign Toyota Motor Corporation announced that the Crown Majesta has undergone a complete redesign, and will go on sale from today at “Toyota” dealers in Japan nationwide today (“Tokyo Toyota” and “Tokyo Toyopet” in the Tokyo area and “Osaka Toyopet” dealers in the Osaka region). The new Crown Majesta follows in the footsteps of the Crown Royal Series and the Crown Athlete, which underwent complete redesigns last December based on ideas dating back to the very origins of the vehicles, but it was also created to take the top position on the next generation of Toyota brand vehicles in consideration of the domestic launch of the Lexus ...
